Our Curriculum

At CLCC, we follow the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework, Curriculum and Learning Policy.

All educators at our service are trained and experienced in areas of early education and care. Our high standard and the commitment of our educators allow us to provide developmental and educational curricula for each group of children. We will integrate the relationships children have with their families and communities in building the curriculum, working in partnership with parents to ensure each child’s knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of our programs.

We provide an environment where the children feel comfortable and secure at all times, and all our rooms have daily routines that reflect this. Our routines are designed to maximise each child’s opportunities to learn and develop. Throughout the day the children will experience a number of different activities which are part of the educational and developmental curriculum operated by all of our Educators. These will be based on the interests, skills and knowledge of the children and include aspects of their culture, family and community.

Each room will display their routine which parents may read, and educators will be happy to answer any questions. There are summer and winter routines which are adapted to varying weather conditions.

Nutrition Program

Our menu is thoughtfully designed and meticulously prepared by our managing team in collaboration with our talented cooks, Miss Rabina and Miss Juliette. We take pride in offering a delicious and nutritionally balanced childcare menu that features fresh, wholesome homemade meals. Our dishes are crafted with seasonal produce and inspired by the diverse cultures of Australia.

Our meals are planned and prepared by incorporating the latest health and nutrition guidelines and reflecting ongoing consultations with families. We regularly review our menus in partnership with 'Munch and Move' management to ensure they meet current standards and regulations, providing both exceptional taste and optimal nutritional value.

Gardening

At Chantel, we  love immersing the children in the natural world around them. One of the key ways we achieve this is through our garden. Nestled within our outdoor area, our garden is home to several home grown plants, including fruits and vegetables, that can be accessed by the children throughout various times of the day.

Here, children engage hands-on with the natural world by planting seeds, nurturing growing plants, and harvesting its produce. They not only learn about the life cycle of plants but also gain practical skills in caring for them and understanding where their food comes from. The fresh, homegrown ingredients are then used in cooking activities with their educators or provided to our kitchen, enriching their meals with a taste of their own hard work. Through these experiences, children develop a lasting appreciation for nature and the joy of growing their own food.
